Last time we went it was good, but not as great as it had been the times before. I would still go back, even after the semi disappointing visit. Atmosphere is fun and stuff are super friendly.

You guys rock! Amazing coffee and my eggs benny was done to perfection. Wonderful home style atmosphere that made me feel great. I will be back!

The food was good, the cook makes a great benny. All the food I've had here was delicious.

The pricing is a little weird, paying for each item individually. Prices are a bit high too, a complete breakfast equivalent anywhere else is about 30% higher at coming home. But not too expensive for the convenience of having a breakfast restaurant in uptown.

I tried the place on three weekends and it is very busy. Seems they cannot cope with the inrush of traffic and orders. There is only the one cook, which would explain why our two-person order was nearly an hour to get to our table two of the three times I went.

As if the backlog isn't bad enough they tried expanding the seating area, putting tables behind the restaurant. Sitting back there you get to experience the luxurious oil-stained parking lot seating with a wonderful view of the dumpsters and a rickety table ready to spill your water. The third time we didn't stay.

Not sure what all the rave is about in other reviews.

I've been a regular for years. The people are all old friends now. Very flexible menu, and they will accommodate as much as possible. The monthly painting are a great idea allowing a change to scenery while possibly buying art! Tired of bad service? Serve yourself!

After reading all the other reviews including the bad ones, I decided to meet my friend there today (Sunday) for breakfast. I wanted to form my own opinion. Being a Sunday it was really crowded and there were no tables available. I sat at the counter and while waiting on my friend to arrive I read the menu on the wall. Quite impressive, I thought, as I also looked at the typical while "home" stove. There was laughter and banter between the cook and the patrons and it really did feel like home. I loved to watch him cook and every dish put up was huge and looked so delicious. My mouth was watering. The thing that sealed the deal for me is the hollandaise sauce. It was authentic - melted butter, eggs, lemon juice - the real deal and not that other yellow crap that other eateries pass as acceptable. I ordered scrambled eggs with sauteed veggies with a side order of that liquid gold sauce. I was in heaven . My bill was only $10. No, I don't mind getting my own coffee. No, I don't mind clearing the dishes from the table after all, my Mom always said to clean up after myself. It is quaint and reminded me of the eateries on Commercial Drive. Very different, yet a very pleasant experience. I will go back again and again.
